About The Author

A warm welcome to those that have opened my Author Page.

I am a 57..58…oops now 59 year young mum who resides in the leafy suburb of Ferntree Gully (actually now Mill Park) Melbourne, Australia.

I have two stunning, intelligent daughters, the youngest now 28 who has BPD Borderline Personality Disorder and a gorgeous man by my side, who lets me  –  be me.

I love to write & so I ventured forth into the previously unheard (of by me) realm of ‘blog-land’.

As my ‘title’ suggests, I write about my thoughts (with and without wine), my age, being a mum, relationships, prose, poetry &  my lust for writing (in fact pretty much anything that pops into my head).

Shall this blog site enter into politics? Not if I can help it.

Will it contain pages of beautiful photos or youtube clips? Perhaps the odd one or two.

Will it be honest & straight from my heart and soul? Yes.

Will my topics bore you? Possibly.

Enlighten you? Maybe.

Be relatable to you? Hopefully.

Optimistically you may find some of what I write interesting – for me it’s cathartic.

I hope you enjoy what you read and please feel free to share my blogs or make a comment (good or bad).

Thank you for taking the time to read my About Page and may you find your journey with me interesting enough to stay along for the ride.

and just because….

  1. Twice in two days i have seen the initials BPD and although i know of the condition but have heard the shortened version, so i now know what they stand for i am enlightened already.

  2. Thanks for the follow, Jenny. It will encourage me to write more on this blog which was my first one before creating two others Tournesoldansunjardin and Tracesofthesoul. We are acquainted through Mindlovemiserysmenagerie:) love your writing!

    • Thank you so much for the follow. I haven’t been visiting many sites that handle prompts of late. My life apart from the odd piece of poetry or chat post has been relatively under the pump of late. Look forwarded to reading more on this. Thank you for loving what I do, that is very sweet.

  3. Dear Australian Mum, thank you for your comment on my blog and for the follow. I’m sorry your daughter can’t continue the DBT but it is good that she has already got some treatment. If she is open to/interested in psychotherapy, she might be able to get sliding scale or low-cost treatment from a psychoanalytic clinic and/or CBT clinic. In America we have psychoanalytic and other therapy institutes like this; I find them on PsychologyToday dot com; there maybe something similar in Australia. Many of these places offer spots for people who don’t have the money to pay for high cost treatment. I am really big on individual long-term psychotherapy – if the conditions to do it are possible (finances, person is willing,,good fit with the therapist) then it can really change someone’s life a lot for the better, and turn a borderline into a much healthier “non-borderline” over the long-term.

    • Thank you for reading and your comment. We have our public sector and private. Her DBT was private, no we have to look at the public system. A unit called Spectrum is my next alternative. Oh I look up to the skies at this point and hope that she will be a healthier non borderline as she hates this life.

  4. Thank you for saying nice things about my mom. I appreciate it very much. I know many of you miss her too.

    • Rach, you are most welcome. There is no need to thank me, but that just shows, the girl that darling Katie raised and she is so proud of you. Yes we all miss her, but none more than you. Hugs sweetheart. 💜

  5. Thank you for writing to me on my moms blog. Sometimes I talk to her before going to sleep. I just wish she were really here.
