Poem to my Mr S…

The sun shone down on the earth & warmed me complete

I waited in the grass, I lay & watched the clouds

The branches of the trees swaying in the subtle breeze

I was alone, waiting there were no crowds

Simple day, anticipation, music filled my head

Lyrics bouncing, eyes closed, in my head I’m swaying

Happiness spreading from tip to toe

This is heaven on earth, where I’m staying

I smile inside I think of you

How you lighten my days & nights

Your love, your laughter, your smile

So ย heart warming tender & bright

I wait, I feel the grass around me

I run my hands through its blades

I think of you again and again

My thoughts of you shall not fade

You have brought me joy & never sorrow

You are my rock, my strength, my world

The sun is warm, I wait

The thoughts in my head of you swirl

I’m at peace & happy, the breeze is warm

I’m content & think of us as being two

But really we are one you & Iย

I wait… I smile… I love you

  1. Good Morning & Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ I think I’m trying to move into Summer & Light…the other was too busy for me…I’m a minimalist & there was too much going on & thank you for liking my poem ๐Ÿ™‚ xx

  2. Morning Kyred – thank you also. Mr S came in & he read it… with ‘awww how lovely & a kiss’ . I said poetic license as I wasn’t really laying in the grass at the time I wrote it nor does the picture look like me, he said it does a bit – but I think that was a polite way of saying when you were younger ๐Ÿ™‚ Bless ‘im. xx

  3. Just lovely. How fitting. Am so glad Mr S liked it. I keep trying to think of Mr S’s name. I like a puzzle you see. I think of sweetie, Smithy, Sean, Shane( not like Warne) Steve, Stephen… Ooooh the names are endless. Such mystery around one letter ๐Ÿ™‚

    • yes you can….easy…glass of wine…music of your choice on….let your mind wander…let it drift amongst the universe of words..let it.. ok enough from me
Thank you thank you and thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ xxxxx
