Yesterday I wrote this Memories like the corners of my mind (rambling)
All I can say is, I stripped the kitchen cupboards last night ..sighing, moaning and groaning all the way, trying to locate my very well hidden jewellery.
Mr. S cautiously popped his head round the corner, enquiring why all the noise (not the doors banging – but me).
This morning I chanted (well asked once actually) to the magical universe and also went with the suggestion that it will be in the last place you looked. Thank you for all who tried to help this gooey brain of mine.
BUT – dear readers all is well with the world.
Whether it was the chant or me saying to hell with it – let’s just look in the last place. Now apart from the kitchen, the last place was the bedroom. I had gone through every drawer, but only skimmed one of them my P.J drawer…and wouldn’t you know it readers guess what I found tucked way behind in the corner in a little bag, a frog.
No I’m kidding. I am so relieved! Not only was there the necklace mum had brought me, but 3 bracelets, one ankle bracelet, one white gold necklace, 4 pairs of earrings and my diamond ring. So I had actually hidden quite a bit more than what I thought! (Yes, I know I love exclamation marks!!)
So everyone – please I am sorry that I put you through a night of no sleep, that you walked the floors of your house trying to give me more clues and that you couldn’t eat your breakfasts or dinners because you were so stressed for me.
Of course I asked Mr. S where to ‘hide’ them again so I wouldn’t forget…he just groaned.
What’s totally awful is how much I can relate to this. I hide things so well I forget where I hid them as well!! I’m glad you found your jewelry!!
thank you sweet – SO am I. I think we all have done this and I think it will only get worse 😦
Well, we could always keep our things where they belong instead of acting like squirrels, that might cut down on the forgetting. Or so I’m told. I think they just want to steal my stuff …
lol to logical! 🙂 we don’t have squirrels – we have possums and they just food, maybe there is a female one who wants to look pretty? 😉
Hahahaha! I can just see Mr S sighing. LMAO
🙂 Lordy I’m the queen of Hide’n’Seek when it comes to money and jewellery. Yet, the queen never remembers either! Lol I feel your pain and I’m sooooo happy they were found. Thank goodness I missed that post. I wouldn’t have slept for sure trying to think of hidey holes for you. Lol
Hugs Mumsy, Paula xxxx
Yes he’s expression was priceless. Thank you hun, so am I. I’m also glad you slept 😉 xxx
Fantastic! now…either get yourself a safe….or find ONE place….THE place to stash your treasures. (I will try to take my own advice.) 🙂
I know isn’t it 🙂 & today I had brunch with a G/F who said you had to find them now for a reason. I am out of work, I’m doing okay – but perhaps I had the ‘need’ to find to maybe sell a few things. I have them now in 1 place..just have to think where 😉 x
I feel sorry for young Mr S. The man obviously has the patience of Job.
So pleased you found said ‘lost’ items RM. We all have been in your position at times. For me it was often a matter of wondering where I had put that child I was carrying a moment ago!!
Oh dear have you got your grumpy pants on still? 😉 Patience of Job lol that can go both ways. As for where is the child – the mother would have to have a great deal of patience ..no? and *smiles* so you don’t take this as being impolite.
Hmmm…the mother is a long story RM…..not to be told here. Read my Shackles!
Read your Shackles?? ok I am confused.
MAJOR Phew 🙂 xxx
Was it in the last place you looked? *giggles*
shoosh you…it wasn’t the very last but the time before that 😉 xx
Oh great, you kept looking… lol
that I did sweety…and …well at least all my drawers and cupboards have had a spring clean now! 🙂 xx
sheish, I should have said it may be at our house… 😉
tis great to be found though, did you hide them again in a nice safe place?
lol – well I think I have…but I need to remember where ..Mr. S knows (he has a better memory than I) ahh the signs of age 🙂 xx
and this is why we love you )
that is so sweet Beth, but I am confused… what did I do to have this compliment? x
u being u
Hahaha! Eureka indeed! You remind me of a very forgetful magpie 😉
Please dont lose your bling again 😉
you made me laugh, yes perhaps I should tend to my nest a little more carefully…I hope not too 🙂 xx
A thought Mumsy…. Wear them all then you are sure to be safe !!! 😉 love ya Max xxx
Oh Max I couldn’t wear them all t the same time, though European women would be proud of me 😉 xxx
Smile lots. well you are from that background Mumsy xxxx
that is so – but I think Mr S would kill me lol xxxx
Thats for sure by crikey … oops that came out of nowhere. Have a good one as I am off to Warnambool by bus and train tomorrow.. using the Seniors free tickets with A & G. OMG listen to me would you have thought !! Back Sunday Byee lovey xxx
Oh damn probably you have gone …erm HAVE FUN!! that’s for sure by crikey – you nutter -) xxxxxx
ha. maybe you should also hide a hint for yourself in an obvious place…it could be like a treasure hunt for yourself…smiles…
Oh Brian how much fun would that be, leaving little notes around the house, like a treasure hunt, bottom draw 3rd on left, next note, go towards the green bag…then again I’d read the notes and probably forget why I put them there 😦 😀
Well done! (Ignore very late comment on previous post.) I hope Mr. S came up with something suitable, clever and memorable after he stopped groaning. Of course, if you hadn’t told us all where you’d found your stash you could have re-used it, and you would have remembered where it was for next time. 😉
lol erm nup 🙂 thankfully I found and in fact picking up some mended pieces from the Jeweller today 🙂 thanks sweet.
