Yes, because YOU asked for them lol
Before shots of empty tiled floor – the tiles were a brown/cream tone (forgot to take a pic) this is where our casual meals eating are is.
different view of course, but this is it now. 🙂
Below is family room floor vinyl. Here is the new & different view:-)
a shot of the kitchen
a shot of all the new ‘bits’ for the dresser which I will be changing.
Daughter # 2 went out and got these vases – what you see on the top apart from the skinny black one (back left) and short black one (front right) came to a grand total of $35.00.
She is now doing two abstract paintings as we have, above the dresser, a huge cathedral wall which needs something on it. I shall post when she has done them 🙂
Hope you liked
x
Worth all that blood, sore bum and tears Jen.Well done to you both.
she said coming in from outside and dripping like a tap….arghhh – thanks mate, I think so too 🙂
Pleasure glad I helped in my own tiny way.
🙂 – trying to incorporate some blue so I can put up Lucas’s tea-towel (when I get it framed that is) ..wouldn’t have done blue otherwise 😉
Looks fabulous, Jen!
Thank you kindly sweet cheeks 🙂
Love, really love. Well done Jen. It looks beautiful. I came back home after a long Saturday. (Filled with activities, t’will be in my reply email to you…) to find these lovely photos and I’m so happy to see them before I get to bed. Hope your weekend has been lovely.
Catch up soon my lovely…
xxx
Hello darling – thank you – the kitchen benches now are a little dated (about 10 years ago I got them done and the tiles – before they had glass splash backs!) We are contemplating selling, so the floorboards have modernised the place now – thankfully..but now I like it 😦 conundrum .. look forwards to your email. 🙂 xxxoo
Wow! Looks great! I completely love hardwood. 🙂
Thank you darling, yes i just have to get used to the crackling it makes being floating boards 🙂
wow, how beautiful it looks. and i like that you are adding things into the decor to match, somehow that happens, when one part of a room happens, it just kind of grows –
Now I have to hold back, can’t wait for the stores to open tomorrow lol thank you so much sweet xx
I’m jealous of your new floors. Fun share Mumsy.
nope, crosses arms pouts, nope
🙂 xx
Oh, lovely! You won’t want to move now! 🙂 x
I know that’s what I’m afraid of! 🙂 x
Nice work!
Thanks darlin’ 😉 x
Beautiful I love wooden floors, I have wooden floors down stairs and slate tiles in the kitchen! Carpet upstairs but I would of had wood there too but my husband out voted me!! 😉 xx
Thank you hun, we have carpet to, in the lounge/dining and bedrooms, but tiles and wood now. Don’t you hate it when you get out voted! 😦 xx
Yes
You did a great job! I love wood too; I built all our bookcases and desks. 😉
Hi Jackie, thank you! 🙂 So many beautiful colours in wood, though these are floating boards, they have so much colour, I love them. Aren’t you clever building your own furniture ~ well done you! 🙂
I love all you wood floors. Professional finish. It’s always exciting after all the work is done and the place cleaned up and put together again. 😀
I know lol I am now out buying accessories and ‘things’ for my walls, I have always so minimalistic with this house and though we plan to sell, I am now going crazy sprucing it up! 🙂 and yes so glad the dust has gone!
Living in construction makes me a miserable lady.
🙂 I know what you mean x
Looks great, Jen, it’s a lovely transformation. The spaces look much warmer and inviting. Thanks for sharing!😀👍
Thanks Bec, it has brought a warmer more inviting feel and look, which is what is making me happy. I just have to stop buying nick nacks now for the walls etc! 🙂 xxx
What a difference a floor makes! Is this the snap together floating floor? I laid that in my place 😀
Yep hun floating snap in ones – do yours crackle when you walk on them though? I just hope I won’t notice it after a while… 🙂
Mine don’t crackle, it’s very quiet to walk on. Maybe it’s the underlay – do you know what type was used?
there were two types of blue foam ‘stuff’ – one $50 a roll – one $90 a roll to avoid the hollow sound when walking. We brought the more expensive. We didn’t use any glue between (as advised not to – to allow heat/cold conditions etc) but yep it’s like hearing rice bubbles with milk when you walk on them 😦
oh i def love the new floors…it adds light and makes it look all mod…
aww thank you – yes I’m now into ‘mod’ possibly a little late at my age…but ah what the heck 😉
I love how they turned out and will look so pretty all shiny and new. I have nasty 35+ year old yellowed linoleum in my kitchen I hate it but the rest of the home has 40+ year old wide white pine floors I would love to have a nice kitchen floor to decorate around 🙂 Can’t wait to see the ART!
Thank you hun, I waited for 13 years to get this – so it’s def. your time now!!! I shall post her pieces up when she’s done them – almost finished, she has been working so hard using bare hands to apply the paint that her fingers starting bleeding 😦
😦 what artists do to CREATE!
Looks really good Jen 🙂 Nice when you can have a makeover like that!
Thanks Trace – yes slightly thrilled with the result..finally. 🙂
