Must I die so I am noticed
my voice inaudible, falling
silent on bustling streets
between steps and open mouths
those that live cast shadows
on walls at close of day
bricks of sunburnt orange
their mortar doesn’t crumble
longing to be heard, for
recognition in your world
for I am weak without
admiration
I drift, staring back
at those who cast a rose into
darkness, now I haunt your
dreams, for you to realise
I existed

Fiction – Not related to me having a small break, I shall be busy again for a few days, working on assessments, but had to write.
Can I just say thank you to all of you for leaving such lovely comments on my Muse on Vacation post. That was three days ago, seems like 3 weeks. Appreciate your kindness and caring.
Your absence has given you cause to write with great conviction and you include some profound statements. Well done Jenny.
Thank you so much Michael, having a break is needed and I hope beneficial.
I love the sounds you weave through and the hints of color. Very good my friend. Somber and reflective
Thank you so much darling, I always welcome your comments.
Ahhhhhhh! Partially sated for my dose of ramblings.
See you soon J
Thank you R, I am glad. Away again for a wee while and will return, little doses may be the way to go. ~ smiles

Hello KB, I’m ok, just very busy studying and life in general. I did write a post prior to this about being absent for a little while. I will be again as from tomorrow but had to write this. Thank you for reading and your concern, appreciated.
Smiles…>KB
It’s sad that many do perish without so much as a single tear shed. I think if you were not there many would miss your writings. 🙂
That is such a beautiful comment to make Jackie and I thank you, yes and even more sad when they feel they cannot be ‘anybody’ without having someone else. Appreciate you reading.
Wow, that’s exceptional!! Brilliant!! 🙂 🙂
and I thank you Helen!
Fabulous! And a big hug to you, Jen. 🙂
Thank you sweet-heart, big hug back to you xx
Your very first line reeled me in quickly. This was pretty powerful ramblings. And something I skirt around in my head.
It was a line that stuck in my head the last couple of days, so I am glad that it pulled you in too. Thank you Colleen, appreciate you reading x
you will never die unnoticed, jen. happy to see you stopping by with a powerful word. see you when yo get back.
Have to pop in to say thank you, as I was remiss on my last post in answering. Having to take pop for an ultrasound now, he thinks he may have kidney stones again 😦 no study today, no writing, weekend. Coming up, hopefully I can write tonight. Thank you for your lovely comment and support as always Beth. xx

i love this confessional stanza,
we rarely hear honesty like this
in real life.
Thank you so much Jack, appreciated. No honesty fades to easily. Hope you are well.
This is another wonderful example of your talent, Jen!
I’ve been offline for a few days making videos (very time-consuming work!) 😦
Thank you for responding to my email – so glad everything is fine 😉

smiles…how is studying going?
i think on some level as a writer it feels like we have accomplished something and we have value when we get that recognition…
The study is progressing. I have submitted 10 out of the 27 required and have till October to finish the course. I have received a competent mark for all so far. Though the trainer on line has been excellent and nudged me where required too.
Yes receiving recognition, in that our words have meant something to others is the best gift a writer can receive. Thanks Bri.
