Opposite is where Mr. S played golf

we relaxed, we ate, we drank, we slept

when we returned home and were inside packing away our suitcases

we had this visitor. I rang Wildlife Australia, to see if someone could come out and get him to make him safe, but after sitting on the bonnet for 30 minutes, he got spooked and flew off.

They say they bring good luck. Considering I have never encountered such a bird, in the suburbs.. I now wait…

I hope you all had a lovely break.

  1. Looks like you had a great Easter Break we had a quiet one with Hubby’s mother and aunt round their combined ages 198yrs!! Quiet day again today, hope that Bird brings you loads of good luck!! xxx

  2. Oh my gosh, that golden pheasant is so unusual. How beautiful with its plume of gold and orange. Good luck coming your way darling. You deserve no less. No Easter break over here. Lovely that you got away. You need it.
    xxxx

  3. Wow! I loved the Golden Pheasant, since you know how much I treasure birds, Jen, this was a beauty. I would have told you this may bring you luck but you knew this already! I loved the sights and scenery, despite the rain at times. Hope you will have a good week, with your two services. Hugs!

    • I only found out, when I had to look up what sort he was. The two have gone to 3, so a bit tired from writing for 6 hours. It was lovely to get away, glad you like my somewhat pitiful photographic efforts ~ smiles. Hugs back xxx💜

  4. Jen, somehow I have not been receiving these posts, hence my neglect here! What a beautiful bird — I too hope he escaped any harm and was an augur of very good things to come. How nice that you were able to slip away for some R&R. I could use a break myself soon. Lovely post.

    • That he was Beth. I hope so, if not for me, for daughter K. It was lovely to get away, but how quickly we fall back into reality 😒 I hope you manage to find some time to get away and unwind too. Thank you for reading ~ appreciated as always. xx
