They left their footprints in the snow
One deeper than the other
Barren branches mirrored upon the lake
Shadowing the ice as it faded in the sun
The beauty was in the tears that fell
Melted pools into the frozen ground
Whilst the snowy owl stretched its wings
Footprints disappeared as days
Turned into nights and the owl watched
Waiting for their return
Wonderful to see you J, but I hope that’s not symbolising what I think it might be.
Thank you, I have missed you and everyone. I don’t think so….I’m just trying to focus on visual pieces for a little, without having to much emotion creep in, but our muse makes the call. I hope you are well my friend.
I am, thank you 🙂
Good I am glad to hear this. 😊
Lovely Jen, the footprints always return willing us to follow. We just have to wait for them at the right time 💋👣
I think you know that quite well, thank you my darling friend 😇 xx
beautiful Jenny
Thanks so much Jodie
and the wise owl is ever vigilant and patient, even when the waiting is so long –
You so get me…. Thank you darling Beth
You never lose it Jen, its like riding a bike it all comes back to you and you still have it, so well done and welcome back…
How very kind, thank you so very much my friend…it take a while, but we will see what transpires. 😊
You are off to a good start…
It has taken a while ….that was meant to read
You are back my lovely, doing what you love. Creating bits of beauty, touching and revealing all at the same time. I find the owl symbolic… just to be in that space, sitting, waiting.

I hope to be back, but probably not as regularly. I have missed you and your kind words on my work. I hope you and the family are well. Love you ❤️ xxx
This is beautiful, Jen. That wise old owl is very patient indeed 😉
Hello lovely, thank you..yes patience is a virtue they say, missed you ❤️
Oh oh! I missed this lovely poem, jumping into the other post a few days ago. Jen. This could be on a poster or a little magnet to read and treasure. The one whose steps were heavier than the other, tears shed made me think of mother and daughter on a journey across icy and snowy lands. The wide wings of the owl sends the feeling of a hug sent through air; over time and space. I also feel you embracing us all in your love. xo to you, the girls and your mum and poppa penguin ♡♡
And I love your detailed responses ~ thank you darling for all your love ~ hugs ❤️
