Love

[youtube.com/watch?v=nuT8vZSN0gw]

You are my adrenalin
heart races
my everything
holding hands
kissing lips
cuddles in the dark
breathing is easier
when you are around

are words enough
to tell you
looking into blue eyes
love that radiates
I warm from the inside

a tender touch a loving sigh
knowing we are one
how can I tell you
you are my rock
you have my back
my world’s complete
from the day
you entered it

to listen to each other
to share both kinds of tears
pulling faces to make me laugh
silly dances on the kitchen floor
you are all I wished for
and  really so much more

For my Mr. S

I will always tuck you in

100 Words Writing Prompt #323     Velvet Verbosity

The word is TUCK

Crinkly fingers pink soft to the touch, cupids mouth as she breathes, arms above her head, stretching whilst asleep, little chest rises and sinks

Eyelids flutter but remain closed, what does she dream, little ‘coos’ slip from her lips and tiny sighs are heard

This is my angel I gaze out, as I tuck her safely in her crib, this is the one I would die for as she made my life complete

Now, though many years have passed, if perchance I see her slumber, memories of her tucked up safe flood back…my angel,  my joy,  my wonder

For 100-Word-Challenge-300x231and for my 2 daughters.

Tears

Transparent teardrop that trickles down thy cheek

followed by another,  if you could

what would you speak?

Transparent teardrop trickles down thy face

followed by another its path

it tries to trace

Could you tell me why you fall

upon skin so young and fair?

droplets of silent emotion

is there too much pain to bear?

Or perhaps that it is laughter

that brings you upon fair cheek

laughter welled from inside

it is from happiness you peek?

We can look upon the face for signs

as to the reason you have come

so transparent teardrop

are you here from a smile or a frown?

We cannot read you, we only see you flow

are you here from pain or joy

the answer we do not know

Written whilst sitting in my car at lunch-time.

Can we ever be again?

When can we be children again and giggle and laugh at silly things?

When can we be children again and play hide and seek in the dark?

When can we be children again and play on the slide and the tyre swings?

When can we be children again and skip a huge rope in the park?

When can we be children again and hop in and out of a puddle?

When can we be children again to run and laugh when we play?

When can we be children again and just want a friend to cuddle?

When can we be children again and race all our friends in a relay?

So when can we do these things without being stared at or pointed to?

Whenever we want is my answer, there’s no need to analyse or think it through

To bring out that fun and enthusiasm like a child that is hidden in our heart

We can be the child if we choose once again and that’s the amazing part

If you hear good music that fills you with joy then do a little dance – doesn’t matter where you are.

Laugh out loud if you want to. Swing and slide down that slide without a care. Skip rope and jump in puddles. Giggle and play hide and seek. Do what brings you joy and not what you think you have to do, for there’s no fun in that.

And if people stare and point and think you’re a little crazy, well maybe it’s just because the child that is hidden in them can’t return.
