How did I love thee (Prose from 3 words)

cough, conflict, control these 3 words have been sent from  Sarah Ann – thank you and I hope that you enjoy.

sitting cross legged on the bed
sheets crumpled underneath
I watch the candle flames
burn their brightness
with the smell of frankincense
I hold you in my arms
I have the control it seems
to do with you as I please and I
cough a little excitedly
for what that means to me

542982_350918278291685_1128794145_n

I hold you tight, you don’t resist
lying comforted in my embrace
which is different from the past
few weeks,  when all we did was fight
but now there is no conflict
as I am in control, who would have
thought I’d spike your drink
allowing you to fall
ssshh ~  it will be alright my love
there is nothing you should fear
though now that you paralysed
revenge is near
so let me hold your hand ~ I swear
you won’t feel any pain
just let me heat the knife once more
and slice into your vein

magic circling smoke wafted
up the chimney bricks

Liptember – Awareness for mental health issues for women *HELP*

PLEASE RE- BLOG   Shaun from http://prayingforoneday.wordpress.com has kindly and generously written a blog for Liptember to help Kayla raise funds for the fight against Mental Illness. He has donated recently, as have a few of my readers. Please read and if you can donate (for those that haven’t already) we would be most grateful. Thank You!    We now have a Pay Pal address for those who have had difficulty donating – thank you.

PAY PAL EMAIL ADDRESS IS :-    sillylilly_44@hotmail.com.   Please put in the description Liptember on behalf of Kayla.  THANK YOU!

This is my comment on Shaun’s post.

Shaun,

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and Kayla’s for doing this HELP Blog for Mental illness, as you have written quite rightly, it is an invisible disease.
These young girls who suffer need help with funding to try and find reasoning/cures as to why they are afflicted. So many suffer and answers need to be found in order to help them. The only solution at present is to go on medication to relieve the symptoms of depression or anxiety. I as a mother, Kayla’s mother do not want my daughter on medication. All mothers and fathers assume that because their child is born physically healthy that nothing will effect them mentally. I did not know when she was born healthy, that later on in her young adult life she would then suffer from these conditions, she is 27 years old.

I ask, your readers if they are able to donate to help fight this to try and find an answer.

Please remember to put that it is on behalf of Kayla.

If you require a tax receipt, please email the Liptember Foundation and request one. If the direct link to Kayla does not work, please forward to the banking details that are above.

Thank you Shaun so very much for spreading the word in trying to help not only my daughter, but for millions of girls, young women and adults all over the world.

PS: Could I please ask if you donate to also let Shaun or I know as Kayla would very much like to thank you all in a post and your links to your site will be included in the thank you.

Believing

can you see the strength inside of you
you are the rock imbedded in the sandy soil not
swaying with self doubt whilst water washes over you

you are the sturdy tree in the forest
tall and solid that holds the canopy aloft
standing fast, nothing bending your resolve

but how shall I convince you; what words will
penetrate the rock that is you; for you are
stubborn as the water that tries to break it down

it's about belief - in yourself
it's about trust - in yourself
it's about optimism

breathe a little

do not preempt with sleepless nights
or days cast in shadows
what has not yet befallen you
seeing will be when it arrives
and not a moment sooner

never a moment sooner

550th Post – This will excite you beyond your wildest dreams!!!

No… no it won’t,  I’m fibbing.

However it is exciting Mr. S and I as we shall be here as of tomorrow afternoon –

http://www.paradiselinks.com.au/

Then after 4 days we shall be here

http://www.mercure-harbourside.com.au/explore-cairns-hotel.html   can’t grab a photo unfortunately.

I need warmth, I long for warmth – I have to have warmth – here it shall be warm.

I shall be taking my IPad so my writing won’t be as manic as it has been of late, but I shall still post now and then ..as I need to use my new toy. As I relax poolside while Mr. S is playing Golf, sipping a cocktail or three, I promise to think of you…no I will…honest..

So you see – it’s a win win all round,  I get the warmth and a holiday and you also get a holiday from me not cramming your inbox up for 7 days!!  Whoot Whoot for that!

I shall try and read what I can before I close my eyes tonight – but now I’m off too pack (summer clothes) as we leave at 6am …and I’m just a wee bit excited about the whole damn thing.

Take Care all, keep writing.

Love to you all

xx

DVerse – The Poet’s Pub was on Unplugged. I wrote this Friday night – so thought I would pop it in – thank you.

Estas is plugged but into an amplifier

http://dversepoets.com

starts to play at 56 seconds  ..please read on

music sieved
through the strings
sugar on a cake
remove all impurities
eats my soul
gently, rhythmically
heart strums
sounds rise
soaring beyond normalcy

honesty in essence
you play
for love
strum strum
the guitar
loud against the voices
you may not hear

feel
feel the strings
the heart beat that it owns
slowly counting down
the strings are you
you are the strings
singularly
play
play on

slide your fingers
bringing it to life
the master of cords
as people watch
you play
play on
the wood is you
you are the wood

I see it in your eyes
within your soul
strum, play
beads on wrists
your heart
circling touching
ears that listen
with incense
burning my heart
meditates

in the end
they walk away
troubles cast aside
just…just for one sweet
moment you held them
hypnotised
as you played
and felt
and gave
your heart was on
the line

Tonight it’s mumsy the rambler not mumsy the poet

Please don’t all breathe a sigh of relief.  Okay you can if you want too. I haven’t rambled for a while so I thought before I get stuck into writing prose (continuing probably into the wee small hours of the morning – as yes I am no longer in the work force) I thought I would just ramble.

Those who wish to delete, watch TV or totter off to the kitchen to make a tuna sandwich feel free for here is your window of opportunity before you get enamoured with my babbling.

So what do I have to tell you (what’s more what would you be interested in)?

Last weekend I attended the Funeral Celebrant Course (Sat and Sun).

Oh my viewers it is a tad more involved than what I first thought. Nonetheless I apparently now have the Certificate verifying that I did the training and I am a Funeral Celebrant (I can see you all lining up..well possibly not) besides it may get a bit expensive with overseas commutes though… kidding I won’t charge that much.

I won’t bore you with all the details as I know how long posts can put you to sleep. I have a couple of assignments to do, which I started this afternoon. Then well, it’s in my court – to get business cards made and go and promote myself.  Feel free to ask any questions (if you can think of any) and I shall answer them (if I can think of the answers).

As I said I’m no longer am in the work force – scary, daunting, watching pennies, trying to perhaps get something part-time until I get my self established.

What else?

Hmm this morning I had the absolute delightful pleasure of meeting face to face a real blogger from WordPress. I know gasp horror, hard to believe that the people we converse with on a daily basis are actually living and breathing human beings.  This lovely lady is from http://sarahannhall.wordpress.com/about  Sarah Ann Hall and her equally delightful hubby (we shall just call him Mr X).  Please visit her if you aren’t already – she is a very talented young writer.

They are over here visiting relatives and as Sarah and I got to chat a little I suggested meeting up for a coffee.  They are younger (sigh) than I, but that did not halt the conversation, though I think I possibly bored the pants off Mr. X , as when I am comfortable with people (yes even on a first meeting) I babble like a baboon. They now have my entire life history whether they wanted it or not. So when you get back home again Sarah and get back on WP – I thank you for the lovely time we had and it was special meeting with you both and I once again apologise for chattering so.

The other part of my day was opening my emails to see a blog about….can you guess…yes ME!!!  So utterly unexpected (the cheque’s in the mail BH) and so thoughtful from the delightful Scottish lad as I call him Shaun.

His blog and post on moi if I may be so bold is below. Please go visit him if you don’t already, regardless of me being mentioned.

http://prayingforoneday.wordpress.com/2013/07/30/great-bloggersfriends-9-jenny-httpramblingsfromamum-wordpress-com/

He pulled from the archives 3 pieces I had written that he had enjoyed and it made me smile to read them again. So I would like to publicly thank Shaun for doing this for me, an unselfish and quite an ‘oh my’ moment. 🙂

So that is my rambling, hopefully you haven’t nodded off – I thank you so much for reading.

A request to my readers

Hello everyone,

This is something I haven’t done before, nor do I intend making a habit of it.
I am putting it out there (for my daughter) as she has signed up over here in Australia for Liptember.
Please see the details below. We SHE would greatly appreciate it, if any one would care to donate anything (large or small) for this cause.

I thank you in advance on behalf of Women’s Mental Health and my daughter #2 who no doubt will be wearing zany colours throughout the month of September!

Psst: If you let me know if you contribute – I shall put your site up on a special thank you blog.
AND my daughter will also thank you.
Mumsy

Hi All,

I have registered for Liptember – Please sponsor me or donate to the cause! Please go to the attached link- thank you SO MUCH!!! 🙂

https://www.liptember.com.au/kayla.tacken

Liptember is committed to raising funds and awareness for gender specific mental health issues for women.

Through a fun, fresh and engaging campaign, Liptember encourages women to openly communicate and familiarise themselves with gender specific mental health issues.

Please share and join to help raise money and awareness for Women’s Mental Health.

The rules are simple. A month is all it takes. Women participating in Liptember must wear the lipstick throughout September at work and when out and about.

Go to the web page: http://www.liptember.com.au/ to see full details.

Why Mental Health?

  • There is little gender specific mental health research applied to women
  • More focus needs to be placed on treating men and women separately when it comes to mental health
  • Suicide is the biggest single cause of death for Australian women aged 18 to 34
  • One in three Australian women will suffer depression or anxiety during their lifetime
  • Women are more susceptible to anxiety and depression than men
  • Post natal depression affects 15% of women within the first year after childbirth

Shades of inner hell

Rebecca Clare Smith’s Journal       Today’s Prompt!
The following may be used as a sentence in your story OR provide a basis for it:- “miles to go before I sleep”    150 words.

4347305428_4a59d62674_b

Jacqueline’s struggle for peaceful nights continued.

Incoherent mornings stumbling over carpet fibres, disorientated.
Why was this happening?  She vaguely remembered the events of last night,

gathering the crumpled blankets around her, pounding her pillow to lay her weary head,  when she heard again the scream from within her.  The unexplainable

presence, male voice, gravelly and offensive.
Her body raised, tossed about like a paper sailing boat on the sea, she had no control.
Arms flailing like a windmill, her mouth taut, opened wide emitting no sounds.

A nightmare? The guttural voice taunted, abused.

She felt unclean, touched.

This was real. How long would she suffer and why did he want her?

Her body and mind invaded, Jacqueline was exhausted, defeated and prayed for an end. Angrily she yelled to her intruder “I have miles to go before I sleep, I compel you, leave me or grant me eternal rest”.

Open your eyes and see me

I carry a burden deep within
I am encumbered for my want
of acknowledgment from you
I am deprived I starve I thirst
for your attentions your desire
that food and water will not sustain
your eyes do not see me or
know of my existence
yet I continue fighting to be seen
I am covered in your eyes
swaddled invisibile
my obsession surpasses
the air that I need to breathe
this wanton addiction
to be with you to be held
I’ll burn for you
