barefoot steps ~ I softly tread

‘neath canopy of tallest trees

sun splintering across stones

in rivers clear

I search

touch hands against velvet leaves

that dance when I set free

with enticing smell of pine

I search

the lore is told amidst these woods

a treasure could be found

no parchment map to guide my way

as skies grow dark and day is done

I walk the woods alone

for the treasure that I seek

is

the

one

who

loves

my

soul

an SOC write – just to see what happened – Prose

sittin’ at the railway station
bags fallen round my feet
legs crossed at ankles
just chillin’ layin’ back
lazily brush away the flies
that come to close and buzz
close my eyes and listen
smellin’ a storm start in the skies
and in the distance hear
the engine and iron wheels
along the track and
smile an inward smile
knowin’ I ain’t comin’ back
as my leather boots will
carry me to where I need
to go – don’t know where I’ll
end up, somehow I don’t care
give me country side and green
grass and yellow daisies for
my view cos’ I know I’m
crossing country in the hope
that I’ll find you

Ta Daaaaaaa!  Heeheehee  🙂

Well hello out there in Blog-Land… such a terrible
description (it reminds me of bog) and I’m not referring to marshes or swamp-lands. Oh lord I just checked my stats – yes we all do, don’t say you don’t! 🙂 As of 7.54pm Thursday night I have clicked over 7,000 visitors.

I am sorry that quite a number of you didn’t stay long enough to comment or hit the like button otherwise I am sure I would have offered you a cup of tea, a beer or a sauvignon blanc.

However you chose not to and that is your prerogative. Regardless of why you visited or how you came to visit I thank you. You have wandered tirelessly amongst the internet and google and other search engines to find something of interest…when in fact you just found me.. sad but true. This woman from The Land Down Under, who writes (prolifically) about any thing that enters her head.

From little things big things grow…they say.

Yes I am indebted to my regulars who hit the button, who spend time to comment and it truly is a wondrous thing that they do and I am very grateful, for those of you in other countries that have probably ventured into my domain (without realising) apologises.

Was my tag too convincing… did I lure you under false pretence? Or where you genuinely interested in finding what this woman who you don’t know from a grain of salt had written about?

as they say SPEAK OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE … SO if you have stumbled upon my site… PLEASE don’t be shy.. that’s all I’m saying.

Thank you my followers I love you all – PLEASE also remember now that I am working again I may not have time to comment on each of your posts, but I try damn hard to, for you have given me the curtesy and I shall reciprocate. If I hit the like button and don’t comment – I HAVE read your post I just can’t muster a response…it takes me a good 1.5 to 2 hours to read you all, like & comment and that’s before I even start to post anything. Without you I wouldn’t write…without your support, your encouragement and you commitment to me I would be nothing – to each and every one of you…I thank you and remember I enjoy your posts immensely and will continue to follow.

xx
