walking in life – prose

graced by sun
growing days
illuminated by moon
the world on axis turns
questions
some left unspoken
others never answered
wandering as the traveller
the natural course
contemplating
turns and twists before me
some memories left behind
I cross streams
step stones
walk paths
swim rivers
climb mountains
who’ll change my being
shall my being change itself
my travelling continues
not seeing the end of the road

I was inspired to write the above after reading the Sanskrit Quote below.

Sanskrit Quote : Wandering mind

Why do you wander, ‘O’ mind, rest somewhere. The natural course of things to happen cannot be altered. It is bound to happen. Therefore enjoy the pleasures, whose arrival and departure cannot be ascertained, without remembering the past and without expecting the future.
