He sat by the river bank
Black wavy hair
Brushing his shoulders
Eyes of deepest green
He was there
Sitting between the cat-tails
Arms wrapped around bended knees
Skin glistening in the afternoon sun
That’s where I last saw him
His stare skipping the rippled water
His smile the one I fell for
As I waved my arms and cried his name
He waited
There by the river
As my blood pooled against the bank

Thank you
This is lovely!
Thank you for reading darling. x
A pleasure🤗
Oh, how treacherous the heart is! You amaze me how quickly I get all wrapped into your words, Jen. Then, I wish to hear the “back story” of the attractive man in the tall grass and cat-tails! What made him do this?
Love your beautiful way with intrigue and mischief!
I’m glad you can absorb yourself in what I write. As far as back story…I don’t know myself ☺️ Well I do sort of.. Thank you again for your kind words lovely xx
My words are sincere as well as my curiosity. You have “done your job” when your readers wish for “More, please!” 🙂 You are lovely indeed. ❤
Way to kind as usual and I appreciate your sincerity and smile at your curiosity. Aww you are lovely and I will try and see what my mind comes up with ❤️

So glad you are accepting comments again. Lovely write that demands a back story!
So I am reading from other comments. Thank you lovely…I will see if anything emerges. x

Thank you so much and thank you for following my blog, appreciated.
It saddens me. There’s an intensity here of a moment that glistens with the thin strands of loss and pain. Ah!
